maybe thats how it works for whoever wrote the guide

you dont really need to call your headmates when you want to talk to them, you just say something and they already know the context because you both share the mind
10:44 AM
so you both know the same things
10:45 AM
so talking to them is kinda like calling them i guess (edited)
Reisen: There are really zero upsides to systems who cannot always contact their tulpas, I wouldn't encourage thinking that they can't always be available(edited)
there is a clear difference in presence for us and it depends on how much attention you pay to your headmate, but it might be different for everyone
10:59 AM
and answers also feel more robotic and "fake" if you give them very little attention like while you focus on doing something else, they feel very distant and quiet(edited)
the reason why i believe that guides misguide beginners is that they focus on talking in the start
tulpamancy at it’s core is not talking… there is much more to it
if you talk to your tulpa before you can feel them or their presence, of courwe it will feel like talking to yourself
that’s good! it means that you are open to it on the intellectual level
but beside it, what do you feel when you do it? do you feel a sense of presence? warmth in your heart?

I stopped feeling my tulpas' presence a long time ago

That's really interesting because Reguile came to a similar conclusion and encourages focuding on the feeling of talking to someone else before doing it.
I wonder if changing my approach and encouraging people to feel their tulpa's presence early on will help.

@A long kiss goodnight - jump
well, i've been talking about it for years...
12:06 PM
tulpamancy is not an intellectual practice
12:07 PM
it is something that i try to encourage people and it is one of the reasons why i think my methods work
unfortunately most of my work is trying to help people shed off their expectation that it happens on intellectual level, intellectual level is just distracting

i haven't tried forcing while on my adhd meds so maybe that'll make a differnce? gonna try today and see what happens, but any other tips would be much appreciated ^_^
So, after checking, I realized that Melanie first spoke to me shortly after my medication wore off. Of course, we're probably on different medications so the effects are most likely different.

We actually still have presences, but it's subtle. We don't usually focus on it, it's just there because we feel a strong sense of who’s who
I have another question just to be sure. What would you do by steps when you have created tulpa? Would you straight talk to them or try feel them first?

That reminds me-
Keep in mind there is no such thing as a universal cocreation (tulpamancy) strategy. Since cocreation is so subjective, everyone has their own take on how to go about cocreation and even what a cobud (tulpa) is. As a result, you will come across conflicting advice at some point. Pick the advice that makes the most sense to you, and if it doesn't work you can always try another system’s idea later.
Guides are also suggestions, not hardset rules. Not everything that someone says or does will apply to you, and if you feel something doesn't make sense don't do it.(edited)

I know. I have been into lucid dreaming for 4 years and it's the same thing there, everything subjective. But I would like to hear some advices anyway, especially related to feeling tulpa around

I had read in guide that you should call them first
if the feeling of wanting to find a voice comes up, then go and find a voice ^w^ but if not, then there's no need. That's what I think at least, a specific voice doesn't matter to everyone, but it does matter to some(edited)
We've never focused on vooceclaims, they just happen on their own.

I don't think it would hinder her development, so feel free to try
7:11 PM
Well, you can approach imposition as you would even if she were vocal
Practice feeling her presence, and then once you've got that down, practice seeing her
7:16 PM
It might be, i've never tried it
Idk if anyone else has tried it either
Maybe you'd be the first!
PluralKit detects messages enclosed in specific tags associated with a profile, then replaces that message under a "pseudo-account" of that profile using Discord webhooks.
This is useful for multiple people sharing one body (aka. systems), people who wish to role-play as different characters without having multiple Discord accounts, or anyone else who may want to post messages under a different identity from the same Discord account.
Due to Discord limitations, these messages will show up with the [BOT] tag - however, they are not bots.
Reisen: Initial tulpa development mainly comes from focusing on them as a person separate from you - so pretty much anything that helps you feel they are them and not just you can be helpful, yes. Practicing imposition (or just open-eye visualization) is as good an activity as normal visualization, talking to them (and expecting answers), or miscellaneous things like reading to them and feeling they're listening(edited)
7:22 PM
Initial vocality often starts out as them sounding like your own thoughts, but as long as you're not constantly doubting them (ie still thinking of it as them talking), they will start to feel more separate/more uniquely like themselves over time, until eventually it's impossible to mistake your tulpa's thoughts for your own
7:23 PM
(With aphantasia these same general processes still go on, though it's not quite as obvious as you're probably only dealing with pure thought and feelings, without a vocal or visual component to focus on)
talking about anything is just how you start i literally asked emmi what's her favorite color when i didnt know any "proper" ways to doing anything
7:43 PM
i hadnt read any guides
7:43 PM
and she answered purple and i shrugged it off as my own thoughts, read a part of reguile's guide, realized that was her, then it was easy after that(edited)
7:44 PM
there's really no effort or weird rituals to it, you just think towards them like you would say something to a meat person
